Occupational Hygiene is defined as the discipline of anticipating, recognising, evaluating and controlling health hazards in the workplace environment with the aim of protecting worker health and well-being and safeguarding the community at large.
It involves the practice of identifying hazardous agents (chemical, physical and biological) in the workplace that can lead to injury, disease or discomfort, evaluating the extent of the risk due to exposure to these hazardous elements, and the monitoring and control of those risks to prevent ill-health and injury.
We are an Occupational Hygiene Training Association (OHTA) approved training provider offering specialist hygiene courses that promote safety and health, and foster good working practices. Our courses range from introductory through to intermediate technical training.
RED OHMS Group is also British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) approved training provider.
