RED OHMS Group acquires GECKO Environmental
The RED OHMS Group (comprising OHMS Environment) have successfully completed discussions and have acquired the environmental sampling and monitoring company, GECKO Environmental (GECKO), as of 1 April 2022. The RED OHMS Group welcomes GECKO into the group, as we continue to grow our service offering and reach across Australia. This acquisition allows GECKO access to the RED OHMS Group’s national client footprint along with the technical and administrative support teams. It will also allow the RED OHMS Group to benefit from the strong knowledge, experience and reputation that GECKO has built over the past decades
Ultimately, this will allow for the standard of client delivery to be increased with greater support and joint technical expertise. We are very excited to bring the best of GECKO and the RED OHMS Group together.
The synergies were apparent from the initial discussion stages and this opportunity will better establish a positive direction in the extensive environmental consulting space.
This acquisition is a great fit with the RED OHMS Group growth strategy, as GECKO has strong corporate values and very similar client delivery expectations to the RED OHMS Group.
As is always the case with an acquisition, the priority is to minimise business disruption, notably client engagement and service delivery. We have established an integration team that has been managing and planning all aspects of the new relationship so that it will be business as usual from the outset.
