P600 - Methods for Testing the Performance of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems
This Level 3 course focuses on the fundamentals of LEV systems, from their components to measurement and testing techniques. It will give you the necessary skills and knowledge to progress into careers that involve using LEV testing equipment (e.g. engineers, technicians) and prepares you for taking BOHS level 4 proficiency qualifications.

IP601 - Thorough Examination and Testing of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems
This Level 4 course gives you a practical and theoretical understanding of best control practice for hazardous substances, the role of LEV in this regard, and how to test and maintain LEV systems to a standard which reduces occupational ill-health. This qualification is suitable for anyone responsible for testing and maintaining LEV systems.

Adrian Sims
Adrian is a British ventilation engineer who has been in the local exhaust ventilation (LEV) industry for over 25 years He is a Fellow of the Institute of Plant Engineers, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers, and the only BOHS Specialist Fellow for Control.
He is one of the founder members and trustee of the new LEV Association which was set up in place of the Institute of Local Exhaust Ventilation Engineers (ILEVE) of which he is a former Fellow. Adrian also sits on the governing council and technical committees of the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA), where he has been involved in writing LEV guidance documents.
His awards include Engineer of the year awarded by the Society of Operations Engineers. BOHS Thomas Bedford Award and he is the current BOHS LEV Practitioner of the Year. He has also been awarded the Freedom of London which allows him to drive his sheep across the London Bridge tax free (feel free to ask him about this)!
