RED OHMS Group returned as a sponsor and competition adjudicator at the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of WA 2026 Surface Mine Emergency Response Competition, held at the Hannans North Tourist Mine from 1 to 3 May.
The competition has deep roots in the Goldfields, first running in 1903 with regular events from 1911, and is complemented by an underground competition held each November. Teams compete across multiple disciplines including firefighting, search and rescue and incident management, testing and sharpening their emergency response capability through simulated scenarios.
This year’s event drew 15 teams from across the Goldfields region, supported by more than 40 local sponsors and over 100 industry volunteers.
RED OHMS Group has supported the competition since 2016, contributing as shirt sponsor and providing adjudicators. Congratulations to the 2026 winning teams and to every crew that competed.
